Director Zack Snyder tweeted the first image of Jason Momoa (formerly of Game of Thrones) as Aquaman who will debut in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the comics, Aquaman is a founding member of the Justice League. The Hawaiian-born actor sports a wild mane and tattoos and a serious looking trident. Snyder added to his tweet – “There is only one true king #unitetheseven”.

Who knows if “Unite the Seven” refers to the seven seas or the original members of the Justice League: Aquaman, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Martian Manhunter.
Snyder is directing Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters March 25, 2016. Aquaman is gets his own standalone movie in 2018.
